“How do you prepare your Rooty?” Honestly, we hear this almost as often as: “Wait... this isn’t coffee?” Whether you're loyal to MagicRooty or a CalmRooty kind of soul, there’s more than one way to make it your own. We’ve collected 5 all-time favourite, community-approved Rooty recipes — simple and delicious.
The Classic Rooty Latte
Simple, smooth, and still the most popular way to prepare a cup of Rooty.
You’ll need:
- 1 level scoop of Rooty
- 150 ml hot (not boiling) water
- 100 ml warm milk
How to prepare:
- Mix Rooty with hot water, add milk, stir, and enjoy.
- Froth the milk if you're feeling fancy. Add sweetener, honey, cinnamon, or vanilla to taste.
Coconut Rooty Latte
A fan favourite. We hear it a lot: “Rooty with coconut milk hits different.” So here it is.
You’ll need:
- 1 level scoop of Rooty
- 100 ml coconut milk (or other plant-based milk)
- 100 ml hot or cold water (depending on the season or your mood)
- 1 tsp agave syrup (optional)
- ½ tsp vanilla powder or a few drops of vanilla extract
- Ice (optional)
How to:
- Mix Rooty, water, sweetener, and vanilla in a shaker or with a frother.
- Add ice to a large glass (optional).
- Pour in the coconut milk, then the Rooty mix.
- Stir well and enjoy.
Rooty Hot Chocolate
More chocolate? Say no more.
You’ll need:
- 250 ml plant-based milk
- 100 g dark chocolate
- A touch of bourbon vanilla
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water
- 2 scoops of Rooty
How to:
- Melt the chocolate in warm milk over low heat.
- Add vanilla.
- Mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then stir it into the chocolate.
- Heat until it thickens.
- Add Rooty, pour into two mugs, and top with whipped cream if you're feeling extra.
Rooty Banana Latte
A fruity twist that tastes like a treat. This one’s a winner.
You’ll need:
- 1 scoop of MagicRooty
- 100 ml hot water
- 1 ripe banana
- 150 ml milk (dairy or plant-based — oat and soy work great)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ice (optional)
- A pinch of cinnamon
How to:
- Mix Rooty with hot water.
- Blend banana, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the banana blend over Rooty.
- Top with cinnamon and enjoy.
Bonus: Froth the banana-milk mix before pouring for a true latte vibe.
Oaty Choco-Banana Rooty Pancakes
Breakfast, dessert, snack — pancakes are always a good idea.
You’ll need:
- 150 g oat flour
- 50 g dark choc chips
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein (optional)
- 2 ripe bananas
- 250 ml soy milk
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 scoop MagicRooty + 50 ml water
Ideas for toppings:
- Chocolate protein pudding
- Banana slices
- Raspberries
- More choc chips
- Hemp seeds
How to:
- Mix soy milk and vinegar in a glass. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add the wet ones.
- Mix Rooty with warm water, add to the batter, and stir again.
- The batter should be thick — if it’s too thick, add a splash more water.
- Cook on a hot pan for about 2 minutes per side.
- Top with whatever your soul desires.
