CalmRooty golden milk

An evening ritual where CalmRooty meets the warming spices of traditional golden milk. The cup that signals the day is done.

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop CalmRooty Cozy Cacao

  • 200 ml oat milk (or milk of choice)

  • 0.5 teaspoons ground turmeric

  • 0.3 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 0.3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper

  • 1 pinch ground cardamom

  • 0.3 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 0.5 teaspoons coconut oil or ghee (boosts turmeric absorption)

  • 1 teaspoons raw honey or agave syrup (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Warm the milk: Pour 200 ml oat milk (or milk of choice) into a small saucepan over low heat. Warm gently until steaming - do not boil. Too much heat dulls the herbs and adaptogens you're about to add.

  2. Whisk in 0.5 teaspoons ground turmeric, 0.3 teaspoons ground ginger, 0.3 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper, and 1 pinch ground cardamom. Let the spices infuse for a minute or two.

  3. Cool slightly: Remove from heat and let the milk sit for a bit. CalmRooty's adaptogens and mushroom extracts work best in hot, not boiling, liquid.

  4. Stir in CalmRooty: Add 1 scoop CalmRooty Cozy Cacao, 0.3 teaspoons vanilla extract, 0.5 teaspoons coconut oil or ghee (boosts turmeric absorption), and - if you want it sweeter - 1 teaspoons raw honey or agave syrup (optional - taste first). Whisk, or use a milk frother (a RootyFrother does this beautifully) for a creamy, café-style top.

  5. Pour into your favorite mug. Sip slowly, ideally 30–60 minutes before bed. No phone, no screens - let the ritual do its work.
